LA MONTRE PREMIÈRE
ÉDITION ORIGINALE
The PREMIÈRE ÉDITION ORIGINALE, a reissue of the first CHANEL watch, is worn like a piece of jewelry. Inspired by the codes of the House, this creation with distinctive lines evokes the stopper of the N°5 fragrance bottle. The supple chain bracelet interlaced with leather echoes the chain of classic CHANEL handbags. The black-lacquer dial with golden hands and no numerals underlines the essential: a spirit of freedom and audacity unique to CHANEL.
Directed by Inez & Vinoodh, the film features Lily-Rose Depp in Gabrielle Chanel’s apartment at 31 rue Cambon in Paris.
A creation with pure lines and refined details for a timeless style.
The emerald-cut beveled crystal rests on a black-lacquer dial with no numerals. Golden hands turn on the perfectly smooth surface. The crown, set with an onyx cabochon, reflects 2 signature colors of the House: black and gold.
Gold for Gabrielle Chanel’s love of all that sparkles, including baroque, Byzantine and Venetian treasures. And intense black, which emphasizes the essential.
Made of a chain interlaced with leather, the supple bracelet encircles the wrist and fastens with a “CHANEL”-engraved clasp.
In 1987, under the creative direction of Jacques Helleu, the House introduced its first watch, the PREMIÈRE. An iconic design that is reissued by the CHANEL Watch Creation Studio as the PREMIÈRE ÉDITION ORIGINALE.
