HOW TO APPLY

Before application, prepare skin with N°1 DE CHANEL SMOOTHING SERUM and either N°1 DE CHANEL CREAM or N°1 DE CHANEL RICH REVITALIZING CREAM. Then, dispense a few drops of foundation onto the back of your hand. Using your fingertips, tap onto the T-zone and chin, working from the center of the face outward. For a more precise look, use LES PINCEAUX DE CHANEL Touch-Up Face Brush N°104. Gently pat the product into skin to finish.

I bought the No.1 to replace the Ultra Le Teint Velvet which is being continued. But it is not exactly a good replacement in two ways (1) a bit thicker than the Velvet and I prefer a very light foundation like the Velvet (2) the glass bottle is heavy, unfriendly to bring for travels. The Velvet uses a lightweight plastic bottle which I love. The No.1 is still a very fine product. Two stars off for the above reasons and also it is 50% more expensive than the Velvet for giving me less than what I wanted.

By far my favorite foundation. I am a 12 in color, with drier mature skin, I love the texture of this formula especially during the Winter months. It leaves my skin feeling dewy and soft. I set it with Chanel loose powder in 12. It does not settle into fine lines and stays put throughout the day. Highly recommend.
