Gabrielle Chanel cultivated the art of paradox. The woman behind an understated, pared-down style that revolutionized women’s fashion was equally fond of the baroque, which inspired the decor of her apartment on rue Cambon and her Byzantine jewelry collections.

COCO expresses the intensity of Mademoiselle’s personality. A mysterious, provocative ambery scent that gradually reveals its contrasting notes.

COMPOSITION

The fragrance opens with a citrus note of Sicilian mandarin and reveals a voluptuous heart of jasmine absolute, heightened with touches of ylang-ylang from the Comoros and Tunisian orange blossom. A captivating harmony possessing an enveloping trail tinged with Indonesian patchouli, benzoin and tonka.

Jacques Polge knows how to create a beautiful fragrance and Coco Eau de Parfum is no exception. It is, however, exceptional. Described as mysterious, provocative, and intense, I fell in love with it upon first spray. The jasmine mellows the citrus top notes for a voluptuous beginning. And when the rose, orange blossom, vanilla, patchouli, and tonka of the middle and base notes reveal themselves, the overall combination creates a perfume that is smooth, rich, and deliciously wearable with a sultry sillage sure to turn heads. Was having trouble finding my "signature" fragrance, Coco by Chanel. Kept running into Coco Mademoiselle and Coco Noir. Don't care for Mademoiselle and Noir actually made me wheeze. Usual sources drying up. Finally decided to try the Chanel website. Finally got what I wanted with no trouble at all. So glad to know I can order what I want. Registered on the website. I have used Coco for several years, and I absolutely adore it. It is my fall/winter signature fragrance, and Chanel Number 5 is my spring/summer go to. But Coco is by far my favorite. Love the warm exotic scent.

I love this perfume! I like that it's more on the spicy side but not too spicy. I've gotten several compliments. The price is a little high-but at the same time, it's a quality product. (I wish Chanel sold deluxe samples in order for me to "Try before I buy" its other scents.)
