Vanilla Planifolia, poliketonlar açısından olağanüstü zengin olması nedeniyle 117'den fazla çeşit arasından seçildi. Madagaskar'daki CHANEL açık hava laboratuvarında yetiştirilen ve hasat edilen bu bitki, formüle konsantre cilt iyileştirici özellikler kazandıran 4 aktif bileşen oluşturmak için yoğunlaştırıldı: polifraksiyonla elde edilmiş Vanilya Planifolia, Planifolia éphémères, enfleurage yağı ve yoğun vanilya suyu.
Himalaya Swertia, yüzyıllardır cilt bakımı için kullanıldığı Bhutan'daki biyoçeşitlilik hazinesinden elde edilmiştir. CHANEL Research ile sürdürülebilir bir yerel ortaklığın ürünü olan bu bitki, çiçeklenme döngüsünün uzunluğunu yansıtacak şekilde her üç yılda bir elle hasat edilir. Daha sonra CHANEL'e özel bir işlemle dönüştürülerek cildi onaran bir aktif bileşen kompleksi elde edilir: +%73 genel doku onarımı*.
