HANDBAG STORIES:
CAMERA CASE

The CHANEL Camera Case, inspired by photographer and reporter cases, first appeared in the collections of the 1980s. Gabrielle Chanel's diamond quilting motif was inspired by the equestrian world and features an immediately recognizable chain, identical to that of the 2.55 bag.

In the latest collection, the Camera Case features lucky charms echoing symbols of good fortune that Gabrielle Chanel liked to include in her designs.

VANITY CASE

As a miniature version of the travel accessory, this design renews Gabrielle Chanel's creative universe. The Vanity Case, launched in 2016, features a padlock and key invisible at first glance, somewhat like a jewelry box. Equipped with a shoulder strap and a handle, it can be carried on the shoulder or held in hand.

For the Spring-Summer 2018 collection, the handbag comes in tweed and exotic leather.

HANDBAG STORIES:
EMBROIDERED TWEED

Gabrielle Chanel's ambition was to allow women's bodies a sense of freedom. When she set out to create the 2.55 handbag in February 1955, a date which lent its name to the visionary accessory, she came up with a deliberately practical design, worn across the body like a hunter's or soldier's bag. Years later, Karl Lagerfeld conjured up the Classic bag, inspired by the 2.55. It adds CHANEL's emblematic double C to the clasp and entwines leather into the chain strap.

For Spring-Summer 2018, the handbag comes beaded in checked tweed, giving a new texture to the bag.
