Red camellia is the key ingredient in N°1 DE CHANEL. This plant can live for up to 200 years(1), defying time itself with its extraordinary longevity. Backed by 19 years of studies and an understanding of the camellia on a molecular level, CHANEL Research selected a powerful youth-boosting active ingredient: red camellia extract. The flower is transformed into an active ingredient using a three-step extraction process: the petals first undergo cold fragmentation, and their antioxidant properties are then released through hydrofusion. Finally, the resulting solution is purified. 

Red camellia extract, a super-antioxidant that contains a high concentration of a polyphenol and is as effective as vitamin C(2), doubles skin's antioxidant capacity(3). It also boosts skin vitality mechanisms by 63%(4) in order to reinforce its youthful appearance.

HOW TO USE

CHANEL has developed a massage technique that can be performed while applying the N°1 DE CHANEL revitalizing essence lotion.

Apply the revitalizing essence lotion before the N°1 DE CHANEL serum.
Prior to application, perform stretching movements on the forehead lines and smile lines.
Apply the product to the entire face, smoothing outwards.
Next, use your thumbs and index fingers to perform twisted pinching movements, first from the jaw up to the ears, then from the corners of the mouth to the ears, and finally, from the sides of the nose to the ears.
Complete the ritual by following with the other N°1 DE CHANEL skincare products, including the serum.
