Karl Lagerfeld launches the Chanel \u0022Métier d’art\u0022 collection, an annual Ready-to-Wear collection that, out with the official collection calendar, pays tribute to the expertise of these exceptional craftsmen. The collection named \u0022Satellite Love\u0022, made up of 33 models, is presented in the Haute Couture salons of the House of CHANEL.

CHANCE ADVERTISING FILM
Gabrielle Chanel believed in luck, and surrounded herself with various talismans and good luck charms. Jacques Polge then creates CHANCE, and for the first time, sensuality and rose enter the codes of the House. Jean-Paul Goude created the advertising campaign in Venice. Flankers of the perfume were launched later on: Chance Eau Fraîche in 2007, Chance Eau Tendre in 2010 and Chance Eau Vive in 2015.

CREATION OF THE WHITE J12 WATCH
Following the international success of the J12 in black ceramic, the white ceramic version of the J12 is launched. This exclusive new watch marks the introduction of white into watchmaking. In the same year, the following watches were also launched: the CHOCOLAT watch with a digital movement, the CAMÉLIA watch, and the 1932 watch.

With Allure Homme Sport, Jacques Polge creates a new interpretation of masculine allure. It evokes movement, freedom that echoes fashion, and the sporty allure that Gabrielle Chanel created for herself. Jacques Helleu created a simple, wide bottle with a chiseled profile, thanks to a new technology.

DEATH OF JACQUES HELLEU
Jacques Helleu was the Artistic Director and image manager for the Fragrance & Beauty and Watches & Fine Jewelry divisions for the brand. The iconic advertising films created under his direction were the fruit of the dialogue that he maintained with the directors, to whom he granted great freedom of expression.

LAUNCH OF LES EXCLUSIFS PERFUMES
For this new line, Jacques Polge created perfumes with great freedom whose names are a reference to the emblematic sites and creations of Gabrielle Chanel and the House: 31 rue Cambon, Bel Respiro, 28 La Pausa, N°18, Coromandel, l’Eau de Cologne. Four reproductions of 1983, N°22, Gardénia, Bois des Îles and Cuir de Russie rounded out this new collection, which were sold exclusively in CHANEL boutiques.
