"I almost fainted with happiness the first time I saw a Coromandel in a shop," Mademoiselle Chanel confessed. She had a gift for capturing styles and mixing them with great skill to create new forms of beauty. She covered her walls in Paris with precious Coromandel screens, teaming Asian flowers with the classic style of her apartments to give them an aura of mystery and sophistication.
