For my 21st birthday in 1958, a boy friend gave me a bar of Chanel No 5 Soap. From that day Chanel represented everything unobtainable held here in my hand. it was my secret escape to luxury and unconditional love. We moved on, the soap grew ever smaller until just a sliver that I placed in my drawer, and Chanel stayed with me forever. As I grew older I danced with No5 eau de toilette, I flirted with Allure, moved with the richness of Coco there were others too. Then nearly 20 years ago I discovered Chance, and it was everything Chanel and everything me. Then Eau Tendre I have it in layers and am happy. And yes I still have No 5 just because. Now I’ve added Eau Fraiche, it is yet another dimension; enhancing and entrancing. I love its spirit, it tells me i have life, I have whatever time I have to feel joy and love my wonderful friends and family, it tells me not to give up on our struggle for Peace and Justice and I am 21 again and standing on my threshold of forever.
