COMPOSITION

A luxuriant composition with contrasting notes.
The fragrance opens with a citrus note of Sicilian Mandarin, and reveals a voluptuous heart of Jasmine Absolute, heightened with touches of Ylang-Ylang from the Comoros and Tunisian Orange Blossom. A captivating harmony that leaves behind a vibrant trail of Indonesian Patchouli, Tonka note and Benzoin.

INSPIRATION

Gabrielle Chanel cultivated the art of paradox. The woman behind an understated, pared-down style that revolutionised women's fashion, she was equally fond of the baroque style, which inspired the decor of her apartment on rue Cambon and her Byzantine jewellery collections. The COCO fragrance, true to her nickname, reveals the whimsical, radiant facet of her fascinating personality in an ambery scent with shimmering hues.

I've been wearing this perfume for over 30 years. I loved it from the first time I tried it. I preferred the colour it was prior to the change but it doesn't stop me from enjoying the scent.

Not for me, the opening smells like hairspray, it then settles, onto quite an overpowering, cloying smell, soapy but sickly. Couldn't wait to get it off.
