Behind Sycomore Extrait is the story of a fragrance created by Mademoiselle in 1930. By naming the fragrance after this towering tree, the designer, who reigned over the cultural capital of Paris, revealed her earthbound roots, her childhood spent in Auvergne among its age-old volcanoes. Reinterpreted as an Eau de Parfum in 2016, this scent inspired Olivier Polge, CHANEL In-House Perfumer-Creator, to compose a deep, sensual Extrait. Slightly spicy, it is transected by the liveliness of vetiver, inhabited by iris and enveloped by accents of leather and vanilla.
ART OF PERFUMING
Use the sculpted cabochon to apply SYCOMORE Extrait to the pulse points: the area behind the ears, the décolleté and the inside of the wrists.
