The CHANEL Watch Creation Studio transforms the ordinary into the extraordinary with the MADEMOISELLE PRIVÉ PINCUSHION collection. Reminiscent of a dressmaker’s pincushion, each piece features a remarkable oversize case with a curved crystal. Made from 18K gold, diamonds, mother-of-pearl or onyx, the House’s Haute Couture symbols decorate the dials of these spirited timepieces. 5 watches born from a powerful creative gesture and embellished with the savoir-faire of the Métiers d’Art. A new motif of pins stuck in a pincushion adorns a cuff, a sautoir and a ring.

Capturing the lively atmosphere of the rue Cambon ateliers, the CHANEL Watch Creation Studio orchestrates a dance of couture dress forms, set to the rhythm of the song “My Woman” by Al Bowlly, which Mademoiselle loved to hum. A miniature chandelier and 18K gold details evoke Gabrielle Chanel’s apartment, as does the quilted base, modelled after her sofa. A key mounted on a sautoir with an 18K gold chain accented by diamonds winds the mechanism of this unique clock, where the time is displayed on a tape measure.

Part music box, part clock, this magnificent piece showcases the skill of numerous craftsmen. From the diamond-encrusted pendants on the chandelier to the meticulously designed and tuned musical mechanism, this singular creation exhibits unrivalled technical and aesthetic sophistication.

This watch is inspired by the sleeve of the iconic CHANEL little black jacket, always braided and punctuated with a button. To highlight this time-telling jewellery piece, tweed and quilted leather are fitting choices. As Gabrielle Chanel said, “There can be no button without a buttonhole”, here, the button preserves its opening and closing function.
