The monumental EXTRAIT bottle is crafted entirely from glass, cut like a diamond, and remains true to the original design, with a white label and a faceted stopper that recalls the shape of the Place Vendôme. The unique process behind its creation exemplifies the House's desire to keep its traditional expertise in perfumery alive. Containing the most precious expression of fragrance, every bottle in the LES GRANDS EXTRAITS collection is nestled inside a white, satin-lined case and protected by a sleeve that opens like a flower.

COMPOSITION

Reinterpreted as an Eau de Parfum in 2016, this scent inspired Olivier Polge, CHANEL In-House Perfumer-Creator, to compose a deep, sensual Parfum. Slightly spicy, it is transected by the liveliness of vetiver, inhabited by iris and enveloped by accents of leather and vanilla.

INSPIRATION

Behind Sycomore Parfum is the story of a fragrance created by Mademoiselle in 1930. Named after a towering tree, SYCOMORE evokes the elegance of autumn. It recounts the splendour of the natural world, an echo to Mademoiselle's childhood amongst the age-old volcanoes in Auvergne.

ART OF PERFUMING

Using the chiselled stopper, apply the Parfum to the pulse points: behind the earlobes, on the décolleté and on the inside of the wrists.
