Vanilla Planifolia, identified by CHANEL in 1995 and selected from among more than 117 varieties of vanilla, is extraordinarily rich in polyketones.
To obtain this signature active ingredient, CHANEL Research developed Vanilla Planifolia polyfractioning after several years of study. This unique process makes it possible to concentrate the active molecules of the plant in three successive steps: extraction, purification and molecular distillation.
Polyfractioned Vanilla Planifolia, the product of this long and meticulous patented process*, is an active ingredient that has a 40 times higher concentration of active molecules than the raw plant material. Within the skin, it supports cellular revival**.
Himalayan Swertia is an extraordinary plant that is scientifically recognised for its medicinal properties and sourced from a treasure trove of biodiversity in Bhutan. CHANEL gives the plant time to develop in the shade of the mountain until it reaches maturity. In perfect harmony with its flowering cycle, it is carefully harvested by hand every three years. It is then transformed through an extraction process, giving CHANEL its own active ingredient that helps to nourish and revive the skin.
