COMPOSITION

Less abstract than its forebears, the composition of N°5 L’EAU radiates citrus like sun-drenched honey. Top notes of lemon, mandarin and orange soar skyward with the aldehydes. Like a second wind, you can hear the rustle of flowers. Rose melds with airy jasmine and a new fraction of ylang-ylang, more modern than ever. Behind this floral whirlwind, vetiver and cedar impart a novel dynamism, softened by white musks notes. Never has N°5 been so natural. So fresh.

My wife fell in love this perfume when we were getting her a bottle of Chance and the assistance gave her a tester… so of course I had to buy her some. As she said it's her beloved No5 only lighter and absolutely perfect for the summer months.

My mum wore Chanel perfumes and transitioned through the various iterations as we were growing up. Because of this, I have a fondness of those olfactory memories and the original Number 5 was the jumping-off point. This is a way lighter version & has a very different feel. Despite my nostalgia for Number 5, it is too powdery for my tastes & even this freshened-up more youthful version is not for me.(Experienced at an event)

Classic No. 5 scent. This scent always reminds me of elegance and timelessness. I really pick up on the Jasmin and also like Manderin. I associate the No.5 fragrance with someone a little older than me, but would be a scent I would consider wearing in the future.(Experienced at an event)

This is a very luxurious fragrance - perfect for a special occasion and when you want to feel extra special. Would recommend using sparingly as it's quite a strong scent so wear when you want to make an impression!(Experienced at an event)

I found this scent to be a lighter scent of the iconic original version of No 5. Great for daytime of special event usage and I feel like this is a fresher more younger‚ Modern, scent. I also like this for summer(Experienced at an event)

If im honest Ive always associated No5 with the older generation. I just aways felt it was so a strong smelling scent, almost to me overpowering and "old fashioned". I have to admit my view has changed on this one. I think once sprayed and allowed to permeate somewhat it actually changes to quite a subtle scent.(Experienced at an event)

Lovely take on a classic scent! Very sophisticated and reminds me of my mum, so probably more likely to buy for her than myself. That said, a more wearable scent than the classic no.5, as its lighter. Love the way it changes over time as you wear it(Experienced at an event)

It's No5 as though it's taken a trip through the south of France. Zesty notes uplift the musky undertones, creating the ideal adaptation of everyones favourite No5. and transforming it into an evening summer wear. I really love Chanel No5 as it conjures up such wonderful memories of people and places however Chanel No5 L'eau has the same distinguishable notes of No5 but seems to have a lighter, fresher spin on it!(Experienced at an event)

I can really appreciate the quality and luxury of this perfume. I think it is a scent that I would wear when I am a bit older, so a good one to keep in mind for the future. I love how it has a fresh, modern take on the classic No5. I think this product would suit more mature clients rather than women in early twenties.(Experienced at an event)

I've loved No5 since I was a kid - my mum uses it. Eau de Parfum is quite strong and heady I find so often save it for evening and special occasions. This is a fresh take and feels slightly more wearable than the traditional one as slightly less rich smell, which is a nice addition(Experienced at an event)

The Chanel No. 5 is such an iconic and distinctive smelling perfume. The fragrance has a complex and strong smell of white musk and cedar. Although a timeless classic, for me the fragrance is a bit too strong and mature.(Experienced at an event)

As a lover of the classic No5, this latest update smells incredible! Its so clean, yet soft and so feminine. Almost immediately the fragrance begins to evolve, whilst still retaining a beautiful elegance and lasts well.(Experienced at an event)
