Spring-Summer 2010 Haute Couture Show
Both playful and sophisticated pearlescent-grey suits, with knee-length shorts and skirts that dance above them; a featherweight silhouette strolling down the aisles with feet sheathed in glistening silver leather and pearled soles.
In pale pink, straw yellow, almond green, beige, and gray with white, the colors are fresh, young, and joyful. The collection exemplifies a luxury that glorifies light, capturing it in sequins, crystals, embroideries, silver thread and ethereal volumes.
Bows punctuate short dresses founded in purity, with fluid kimono collars flattering the neck and shoulders. Capes in lace and crystal, cloud-shaped dresses in sugary colors, and dazzling lamés always display the elegant humor that Chanel is known for.
As a hint to his mythical wardrobe, one of Karl Lagerfeld's creations contrasts a perfectly proportioned long dress with a diamond-embroidered maxi-tie, and a high-neck collar "à la Karl" that emphasizes a perfect posture. Another evening dress is tender pink, with sequined straps.
A modern, ultra-refined collection for a luminescent, free woman.
In this Spring-Summer 2010 Haute Couture collection, neon is reinvented by the maestro of cut and light.
