Re-sizing is a difficult operation which requires great know-how and a deep study of the piece. This intervention is not possible on every piece of jewelry and is dependent on the model design. It is recommended to limit the number of times the same model is resized.
Re-sizing operations vary from one piece of jewelry to another and will be subject to a specific examination. For a ring re-sizing, operations will be the following:
OPERATION DETAILS
- Cleaning and diagnosis of the piece
- Measurement of the body of the ring
- Cutting of the body of the ring
- Material addition/removal
- Soldering
- Polishing of gold elements/removing of the layer of rhodium
- Cleaning of the piece
- Rhodium plating of white gold elements
- Control of the piece
