The fragrance of all fragrances, presented in its rarest form. The most precious expression of High Perfumery, the Parfum is housed within a monumental limited-edition bottle, dressed in Gabrielle Chanel's favorite colour: red.
The solid Baccarat crystal bottle, cut like a diamond, showcases the unique "rouge à l'or" technique. An incomparable method that involves gradually fusing clear crystal and 24-carat gold powder at precisely 540 degrees Celsius. This unique design showcases the fragrance, nestled in a white leather case and wrapped in a red and white sleeve with an embossed varnish finish.
A true work of art, each exceptional piece is custom-made. A mere 55 unique, numbered and hand-engraved pieces are available.

Olfactory atmosphere

An abstract fragrance that reveals a deliciously floral bouquet, the N°5 Parfum is the essence of femininity.
Top notes of neroli blend into the sensual, floral notes of two exceptional raw materials, may rose and jasmine, with each precious extract sourced from Grasse.
Aldehydes provide airy freshness and lend an abstract effect to the fragrance.

In 1921, Gabrielle Chanel asked Ernest Beaux to create "a woman's perfume with the scent of a woman", rare and powerful. The nose presented her with a visionary composition that made unprecedented use of aldehydes. Mademoiselle chose the fifth sample of the fragrance, and decided to name it simply N°5. For this new fragrance, she chose a revolutionary design for the bottle, adorned with a white label and topped with a faceted cabochon.
The unique scent of N°5, along with its simple name and bottle, revolutionised the history of perfumery and has gone on to achieve cult status.
In 2018, the world's most timeless fragrance and Gabrielle Chanel's favorite colour come together for a limited edition. N°5 dressed in red.

Art of perfuming

Apply the Parfum to pulse points on the skin: behind the earlobe, on the décolleté, and on the inside of the wrist.
