"Korea Now! Design, craft, fashion and graphic design in Korea"
On the occasion of the France-Korea year inauguration, the Musée des Arts Décoratifs will be showing more than 700 works by artists, craftsmen, designers, fashion and graphic designers, translating the eclectic mix of styles, tastes and contemporary creations of this artistic heritage.
The Chanel Cruise 2015/16 collection was presented in Seoul, center of cultural melting pot and creative effervescence. Two silhouettes of this collection are featured in this exhibition, illustrating the originality of the traditional Korean costume, the “Hanbok”, as a source of inspiration.
This initiative reflects the fact that fashion design is now a major aspect of France-Korean cultural exchanges.

Mademoiselle Chanel in November 1932, in the private salons of her townhouse at 29, faubourg Saint-Honoré in Paris, presented her first - and unique - collection of High Jewelry, entitled “Bijoux de Diamants”. Captivated by the diamond’s sparkling brilliance and purity, for her the chosen stone also represented "in its density, the greatest value in the smallest volume."
