5 care tips

The number five has a special significance at CHANEL: Gabrielle Chanel’s favourite digit, the name of our first perfume, and our number of recommendations to keep your CHANEL shoes in best condition.

Wear

To prolong the life of your shoes, do not wear the same pair several days in a row. More advice in boutique.

Protect

Should your shoes get wet in the rain or splashed with water, dab them dry with an absorbent non-pilling cloth. Do not place them close to a heat source or expose to direct sunlight as this may damage or fade the material. More advice in boutique.

Care

Regularly treat soft leather, kidskin and lambskin shoes with a nourishing shoe cream applied using a soft cloth. Take care to avoid any care products that may degrade the finish of your shoes. To diminish the appearance of marks on the surface of lambskin leather, try rubbing in a circular motion. More advice in boutique.

Storage

Before storing your shoes, put them on shoe trees and leave them to air. Then place them in the original box. Store them in a dry place away from humidity and drastic temperature changes. More advice in boutique.

Appreciate

Your shoes will change over time and with your every step. Designed to keep pace with women’s lifestyles, they will develop a natural patina that is inherent to their life and usage. Day after day they reveal a new aspect of their beauty, and of their history... and yours. More advice in boutique.
