Yellow denotes the color of sun in the Spring-Summer 2019 collection, conjuring up summer light, sun-drenched blond-sand beaches and cool lemonade. Zingy, vibrant yellows intermingle with paler hues in the tweed total looks, brightening up the silhouettes and accessories, from fingerless gloves to vanity cases.
CHANEL: six letters, two syllables emblazoned on looks. Split in two, CHA-NEL sets the rhythm for the Spring-Summer 2019 collection.
The House emblem is revisited, switched up and celebrated in the nonchalant spirit of the collection. “CHA” on one side, “NEL” on the other: from asymmetry, movement is born. A name reprised like a motif on fingerless gloves, straw caps, transparent mules, earrings, belts and other accessories of the season.
Warm sandy hues blend with the show setting. Dune-colored tweed ensembles are dusted with golden sequins and beige jackets feature a white check motif, as if crisscrossed with thin trails of sand. Mini-skirts are embroidered with tiny pearly and golden beads, like scattered grains of sand, with matching vanity cases in natural straw, adding an iridescent sheen for the occasion.

Parasols run through the Spring-Summer 2019 collection like a leitmotif. They pop up in prints, embroideries and on camellias. Ruffled, pleated dresses in chiffon are embellished with the geometric motif, the work of Maison Lemarié. Striped in blue and red, with mauve shadowing, they evoke seaside scenes. On tweed dresses and bags, they appear superimposed like a beach scene on a summer day, embroidered with sequins by Maison Lesage
