“I want to be a part of what’s happening”, Mademoiselle Chanel once said. For this 34th edition of the Hyères Festival, that’s the avant-garde spirit CHANEL wishes to cultivate by reinforcing its support of young talent through the launch of the Métiers d’art Prize. This year, each of the ten fashion designers in competition had a chance to develop a project in collaboration with one of ten houses from CHANEL’s Métiers d’art: Desrues, Ateliers de Verneuil-en-Halatte, Lemarié, Maison Michel, Massaro, Lesage, Goossens, Montex, Causse and Lognon.
A chance for young talents to push the limits of design, this prize will be awarded to the best collaboration following Sunday evening’s fashion shows. The winner will take home a trophy designed by the goldsmith Goossens and receive the opportunity to produce, with CHANEL’s mentorship, a new creation that will be revealed next year at the 35th edition of the festival.

A loyal partner of the International Festival of Fashion, Photography and Fashion Accessories in Hyères since 2014, CHANEL this year renews its support of the event, celebrating young talent and serving as a springboard for upcoming designers.
To celebrate the opening, CHANEL brought together members of the jury and friends of the House at its annual dinner. Guests were treated to a private concert by Clara Luciani who was dressed in CHANEL for the occasion.

Maison Michel, milliner since 1936, is exhibiting a selection of hats at the Villa Noailles during the 34th edition of the Hyères International Festival of Fashion, Photography and Fashion Accessories. Its hats and head accessories – fedoras, caps, boaters, veils and bonnets – pay homage to Maison Michel’s exceptional craftsmanship and introduce visitors to some of its most beautiful creations. Staged amid a scenography that retraces the history of the Parisian house, the installation unveils what goes into creating hats, from initial sketches to the selection of materials and how they are brought to life in the Maison Michel ateliers.
Mademoiselle Privé’s new edition in Shanghai opened its doors in the West Bund Art Center.
Friends and House ambassadors William Chan, Victoria Song, Dilireba, Zhou Xun, Liu Wen and Keira Knightley were immersed into the origins of CHANEL’s creations during an exclusive preview.
The evening ended with performances by Ibeyi and Dua Lipa.
