3.55 MÉTIERS D'ART PODCAST — CHRISTELLE KOCHER FOR LEMARIÉ

Christelle Kocher, artistic director of Maison Lemarié, was Joana Preiss’s guest in this new series of podcasts devoted to the Métiers d’art. Founded in 1880, the Lemarié atelier specializes in four fine crafts: feather-making, flower-making, pleating, and needlework, drawing on French craftsmanship passed down through generations. The two women talked about the creative dialogue that is forged between the various Maisons d’art and the CHANEL studio directed by Karl Lagerfeld and Virginie Viard with each new collection. It is this two-way collaboration between the couture House and the Métiers d’art that results in exceptional pieces such as the sailor top embroidered with handpainted feathers in the Paris-Hamburg collection.
