The Literary questionnaire of
Tara Emad
Actress and friend of the House Tara Emad
shares the books that have changed her life.
Does your lifestyle allow you to read as much as you would like to?
As a matter of fact, yes! I always have a book to read while I’m on set or when travelling by plane. Two years ago, I got introduced to audiobooks and it’s my favourite thing to do while driving.
Is there a particular book that has affected how you lead your life?
It would be extremely difficult to narrow it down to one book. But here are a few that have significantly affected me and changed how I lead my life every day: Siddhartha by Hermann Hesse, A New Earth by Eckhart Tolle, Tuesdays with Morrie by Mitch Albom, Confucius from the Heart by Dan Yu, When the Body Says No by Gabor Mate and Becoming the One by Sheleana Aiyana.
What is the most liberating book you have read?
Matthew Perry's Friends, Lovers, and the Big Terrible Thing.
What is the most harrowing book you have ever read?
Finding Me by Viola Davis.

Elizabeth Bennet from Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice or Nora Seed from Matt Haig's The Midnight Library.
What is the best place to read?
Wherever I have a book with me !
Are you more romance novel or adventure novel?
Romance novel.
Do you prefer long novels or short stories?
Definitely long ones. When it’s a good novel, I get so attached to the characters that I don’t want it to end.

The Midnight Library by Matt Haig and Beer in the Snooker Club by Waguih Ghali.
The title of a book you always offer as a gift?
