In keeping with its commitment to cinematic creation, CHANEL supports the
CHANEL AND CINEMA – TOKYO LIGHTS mentorship programme. Under the stewardship of movie director and friend of the House Hirokazu Koreeda, a major figure in international cinema awarded multiple times in the world’s most acclaimed festivals, this unique programme aims to support the emergence of a new generation of Japanese directors.

Jessie Buckley, Teyana Taylor, Pedro Pascal, and Nicole Kidman at the 98^th edition of the Oscars®

Jessie Buckley received the Oscar® award for Best Actress in a Leading Role for her performance in Hamnet directed by Chloé Zhao while Teyana Taylor was nominated for the Best Actress in a Supporting Role Oscar® award for her performance in One Battle After Another directed by Paul Thomas Anderson.

CHANEL Supports Couture by Alice Winocour

Supported by CHANEL, Couture, Alice Winocour’s new film, explores both the backstage of the fashion world and the energy of those who make it happen through the intertwined stories of three women.

Reaffirming its commitment to promote cinematic creation, CHANEL is proud to have welcomed a feature film shoot within the ateliers at 31 Rue Cambon for the first time and to have contributed to make-up looks.

2025 Deauville American Film Festival

CHANEL, Official Partner of the Deauville American Film Festival
For the seventh consecutive year, CHANEL is pleased to support the Deauville American Film Festival, a place dear to the House. Internationally renowned, the event celebrates the diversity of American films, from major productions to independent cinema.

During the 51^st edition of the festival, CHANEL accompanied actors Golshifteh Farahani, president of the jury, Suzy Bemba, member of the Revelation jury, and Zoey Deutch, who received the Hollywood Rising-Star Award, and actor and director Kristen Stewart who was awarded with the Prix de la Révélation (Revelation award) for her first film “The Chronology of Water”, supported by CHANEL. On the occasion of the closing weekend, Kristen Stewart also shared her favourite French films during a conversation organised with the support of CHANEL.

The actors were among the guests at the CANAL+ and CHANEL dinner celebrating the 51^st edition of the festival and the House’s close ties with cinema.

On this occasion, the actors wear CHANEL.

Continuing Gabrielle Chanel’s commitment to emerging cinematic creation, the House is also pleased to support the Biennale College — Cinema for the first time in Venice, a city dear to Gabrielle Chanel. Director and friend of the House Audrey Diwan is patron of the 2024-25 edition of this programme dedicated to training young filmmakers from around the world.

True to the ties that bind the House to Biarritz, a city that Gabrielle Chanel loved for its spirit of sporty elegance, and where she opened a boutique in 1915, CHANEL was proud to renew its support for Biarritz Film Festival - Nouvelles Vagues. This event honours youth through a selection of films that explore young people’s stories, dreams and realities, and reflects the House’s ongoing commitment to cinematic creation.

Throughout the festival, CHANEL accompanied film director and House ambassador Sofia Coppola, actresses and House ambassadors Keira Knightley and Anamaria Vartolomei, who was also a member of the jury, as well as Ana Girardot, co-founder of the Biarritz Film Festival - Nouvelles Vagues and Ramata-Toulaye Sy.

Kristen Stewart in conversation with Golshifteh Farahani

Embodying CHANEL’s deep connection to the world of cinema and its great actresses, Kristen Stewart has a close and unique relationship with the House. A former jury member of the Cannes Film Festival and a CHANEL ambassador since 2013, she served as the International Jury President during the 73^th edition of the Berlin International Film Festival. On this occasion, she was wearing CHANEL looks on the red carpet. During the event, Kristen Stewart opened up about her experience as International Jury President and was joined by actress Golshifteh Farahani, a member of the International Jury.
