The monumental EXTRAIT bottle is crafted entirely from glass, cut like a diamond, and remains true to the original design, with a white label and a faceted stopper that recalls the shape of the Place Vendôme. The singular process behind its creation exemplifies the House's desire to keep its traditional expertise in perfumery alive. Containing the most precious expression of fragrance, every bottle in the LES GRANDS EXTRAITS collection is nestled inside a white, satin-lined case and protected by a sleeve that opens like a flower.
COMPOSITION
An abstract fragrance that reveals a delectably powdered bouquet, the N°5 Parfum is the quintessence of femininity. Top notes of neroli from Grasse blend into the sensual, floral notes of two exceptional raw materials, May rose and jasmine from Grasse. Aldehydes provide airy freshness and lend an abstract effect to the fragrance.
INSPIRATION
In 1921, Gabrielle Chanel requested the help of Ernest Beaux to create a "woman's fragrance that smells like a woman," rare and powerful. The nose presented her with a visionary composition that made unprecedented use of aldehydes. Mademoiselle chose the fifth sample of the fragrance, and decided to simply name it "N°5." For this new fragrance, she chose a revolutionary design for the bottle, adorned with a white label and topped with a faceted cabochon. The unique scent of N°5, along with its simple name and bottle, revolutionised the history of perfumery and has gone on to achieve cult status.
ART OF PERFUMING
Using the chiseled stopper, apply the parfum to the pulse points: behind the earlobes, on the décolleté, and on the inside of the wrists.

Carefully tilt the bottle while holding the stopper to dip it in the fragrance, then put the bottle down and apply the stopper to the pulse points or other areas you wish to perfume.

All CHANEL Online Boutique orders are uniquely packaged and delivered across mainland Australia and Tasmania (excluding remote territories).
• Complimentary Express Delivery on all orders above AUD100
• For orders below AUD100, a shipping fee of AUD10 will be applied
• Delivery within 1-2 business days for Metro cities, and 3-7 business days for Regional cities
• Orders shipped to Collection Points (Parcel Lockers, PO Boxes) are shipped via Standard shipping and may take up to an additional 5 business days

what are your return / exchange policies ?
We hope that you will be delighted with your order. However, if you wish to return the Product(s), you have the right to do so within 30 days of receiving your order.
In order to receive a full refund, simply follow the instructions below.
1. Please contact our CHANEL Client Care representatives online or by calling 1300 242 635, Monday-Friday 9am-5pm, AEST/AEDT (excluding Public Holidays). A Client Care Representative will assess and validate the return and provide a prepaid return label to be attached to your parcel.
2. Please pack your parcel including the samples in their original packaging, along with the packing list and follow the instructions provided by Client Care.
3. Your return order will be received within 3-5 business days and then processed within 1-2 business days. You will receive a confirmation email when your return is processed and your refund will received within 3-5 business days. For hygiene and safety reasons, sealed products that have been opened are not eligible for reimbursement unless they are defective.
Currently CHANEL boutiques do not accept returns for orders placed on the CHANEL online Boutique.
Please note that returns will not be accepted at any other retail outlet that sells CHANEL products.
All refunds will be credited to the original card/method that was used for payment, and refund processing time may vary depending on your bank.
