The Chanel Jacket,
Reinvented
Cruise 2019/20

Continually renewed, the CHANEL tweed jacket reveals its latest transformation. In white and sometimes ecru, the House’s signature piece pairs with miniskirts featuring one or two pockets. Colourful, delicately embroidered trim reprises the motif of CHANEL’s statement metal chain to better highlight its line: straight, structured, perfectly aligned. A silk lining matches chiffon tops applied with multicoloured flowers with beads made by the Maison Lemarié. A fine brass chain is hemmed into the lining to ensure the jacket falls perfectly — one of the House’s precious details.

Two-tone Variations
Cruise 2019/20

Echoing the two-tone pumps with conical heels, half-knit, half-leather looks oscillate between two colours, creating a new kind of luminous contrast. Glossy leather meets cashmere — at times bright red, at others ink blue — punctuated with touches of black or white. Colours inverse and collide from one look to the next. Proportions also define the look: triangular plastrons accentuate the shoulders, a large vest offers freedom of movement and belts structure the silhouette.

Jewellery
Cruise 2019/20

The new season's jewellery takes hold of codes dear to CHANEL: the chains become necklaces and are worn several at once. Inspired by the world of travel, luggage labels and padlocks find their way onto curb chains, earrings and pendants in golden metal.

Striped Knits
Cruise 2019/20

Knitwear appears in several variations, as sweaters worn over shirts with gathered sleeves, long cardigans transformed into dresses, or gilets fashioned like Spencer jackets. Brown and navy stripes, punctuated occasionally with pink or white, reveal rows of sequins recalling a train’s wheels as it speeds down the rails.
