GRAND PRIX D'HORLOGERIE - GENEVA, THURSDAY, 15TH NOVEMBER 2012

For the very first time, CHANEL Watches has won an award in the 'Ladies' watches' category at the Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève (GPHG) for its Première Flying Tourbillon watch.

In the form of a stylised camellia, Mademoiselle Chanel's favourite flower, the Flying Tourbillon rotates discreetly and almost secretly deep within the Première watch. It completes one rotation per minute, with the petals indicating the seconds. This extraordinary watch required 23 hours of setting and over one hundred hours of assembly.

Every year, the Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève recognises excellence in watchmaking all over the world, rewarding the best timepieces and the most outstanding watchmakers. As in previous years, this ceremony took place in the Grand Theatre in Geneva, bringing together the elite of the international watchmaking profession.

Honoured by this award, the Première watch by CHANEL is proud to make its entrance into the world of Fine Watchmaking.
