A watch is one of those rare objects working constantly 24 hours a day. In order to keep it reliable and to prolong its life, your watch will need to be regularly adjusted in our watchmaking workshops. For this, we invite you to take your watch to a CHANEL boutique or an authorized CHANEL retailer of your choice.

Battery replacement

An integrated circuit lies at the heart of a watch with a quartz movement. This circuit transmits energy supplied by the battery to the quartz oscillator that divides time.

OPERATIONS PERFORMED

  • 1 - Check used battery
  • 2 - Check movement functioning
  • 3 - Replace battery
  • 4 - Replace bars & screws if necessary
  • 5 - Check condition of the bracelet & clasp
  • 6 - Clean watch with ultra-sound
  • 7 - Replace gaskets
  • 8 - Check water resistance
  • 9 - Check watch functioning over 48 hours

Maintenance

During a battery and resistance check, your watch is disassembled enabling the watchmaker to replace any worn or damaged parts.

OPERATIONS PERFORMED

  • 1 - Check movement functioning
  • 2 - Replace battery for quartz watches or regulate movement for automatic watches
  • 3 - Replace damaged parts (not including bezels, bracelets, crystals, etc…)
  • 4 - Replace bars & screws if necessary
  • 5 - Check the condition of the bracelet & clasp
  • 6 - Clean watch with ultra-sound
  • 7 - Replace gaskets
  • 8 - Check water resistance
  • 9 - Check watch functioning over 48 to 96 hours

Complete revision

Unlike automobiles, the mechanical parts of a watch function continually: 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and 365 days a year. To optimize the reliability and longevity of your watch, a complete revision is recommended every four to five years.

OPERATIONS PERFORMED

  • 1 - WATCHES WITH AUTOMATIC MOVEMENTS: disassembly, cleaning, reassembly and regulate movement
    WATCHES WITH QUARTZ MOVEMENTS: movement and battery replacement
  • 2 - Replace bars & screws if necessary
  • 3 - Check the condition of the bracelet & clasp
  • 4 - Polish steel and gold parts
  • 5 - Clean watch with ultra-sound
  • 6 - Replace gaskets
  • 7 - Check water resistance
  • 8 - Check watch functioning over 48 hours for quartz, 72 hours for automatic models & 96 hours for automatic Chronograph models

Polishing

Polishing steel and precious metal watches can bring them an almost new look.

Ribbon replacement

It is recommended to replace the leather ribbons of your Première watch every three years. Due to rubbing and general wear and tear, they undergo a normal wearing process that affects their strength and shine.

As an essential part of your watch, the bracelet requires regular and necessary maintenance according to the amount of wear.
